It’s official, people like getting free stuff. And who are we kidding, we like it too - so the good news is, we’re going to continue with the sponsorships this year. The bad news is, you’re going to have to wait until spring.

But just think, you have a few months to come up with the best theme party ever. Or the most unique weekend trip. Or the weirdest get-together we’ve ever heard of. And it gives you plenty of time to make a kick-ass vid for it. Don’t forget to check out last years’ winners for inspiration – there are some real gems in there.

We’re looking for real events, so anything that is private and not-for-profit is fair game. Stuff like cottage weekends, unique weddings, stags, annual parties, theme parties, birthday parties, postgame pick-up hockey beers, or anything else you can think of. We're pretty open as long as it's not a huge, professionally organized event.

First you have to make a video that explains what kind of event you have in mind and why you think it deserves sponsorship. You could just do a slideshow of pictures, or talk into the camera, or you can get crazy and put some elbow grease into it.

Anything will do really, as long as the video explains what the event is and why you think it deserves to get sponsored. It can be super short, or a little longer. But try not to go over 2 minutes. You can make it with a webcam, a digital camera, a cell phone, or whatever’s easiest.

Then upload it. You have to register first, but it's pretty fast and painless.

After that you’re done. Several videos a month will be chosen for sponsorship. The video with the most votes gets picked.  And we’ll also pick the videos that we think deserve a sponsorship too.  Feel free to ask your buddies to vote for you. You can always reward them with an invite if you win.  
 
If your video isn’t picked, don’t worry, you’re still eligible for the next month.  The votes get re-set to 0, so you just have to get your buddies to vote for you again.

We want to help make your event better. Our sponsorship team will hook you up with party supplies, beverages, and other stuff. Maybe we’ll throw in a new ping pong table too, or a bbq, or catering for your friends. The supplies will depend on what kind of event you’re having, but we’re flexible on what they are.

 Your participation in the Contest, including your submission of a Video to Memelabs.com shall be deemed to be your complete acceptance of the terms and conditions set out below by Memelabs.com (hereinafter referred to as Organizer) and Okanagan Spring Breweries (hereinafter referred to as Sponsor).    

CHILDREN AND MINORS: Consistent with the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under theage of 13 without requesting parental consent. Additional information can be found on the U.S. FederalTrade Commission website. Any entrant who is a minor in his/her jurisdiction of legal residence will be required to obtain the permission of his/her parent or legal guardian to participate in this Contest. Entrant must also have obtained all necessary permissions from anyone else featured in his/her Submission,
including permission from parents or legal guardians of minors included in such Submission (written proof of such permission must be made available to Sponsor upon request).

PARTICIPATION CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF RULES AND DECISIONS, CONSENT TO USE AND RELEASE OF CLAIMS.  By entering this contest, each participant warrants that he or she has read and agrees to abide by all contest rules and that he or she is not prohibited from participating in the contest.  Participation in this contest constitutes participant’s full and unconditional acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of Okanagan Spring Breweries, its parents, affiliates, employees and agents, which are final, binding and non-negotiable in all respect.  Each participant agrees to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Okanagan Spring Breweries and its parents, affiliates, shareholders, employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers from any liability arising from or related to the contest, including without limitation: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the contest; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (d) personal injury, death, and property damage; and (e) claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.  Further, participants fully and unconditionally release all claims for consideration, copyright infringement and all other claims of any nature relating to the use of their entry, name or likeness.  

ELIGIBILITY:  The Contest is open to Residents of British Columbia and Alberta only and Void where prohibited or restricted by law.  

Your participation in the Contest, including your submission of a Video to sponsormespring.ca shall be deemed to be your complete acceptance of the terms and conditions set out below by Memelabs.com (hereinafter referred to as Organizer) and Okanagan Spring Brewery (hereinafter referred to as Sponsor).  

Videos can be shot with camera phones, digital Video cameras or any other digital moving image format. No photo or essay entries will be accepted.
There is no cost or purchase required to enter this Contest.
Entry to the Contest is only open to persons of at least 19 years of age. By submitting your contribution to the Organizer in relation to the Contest you agree to and thereby waive any and all moral rights that exist in your contribution to the Contest and any derivate works made there from.

By submitting your contribution to the Organizer in relation to the Contest you represent, warrant and undertake to Sponsor and Organizer that your contribution (i) is your own original work and that you have the sole right to submit it to the Contest (ii) does not violate in any way rights of third parties including copyright and other intellectual property rights and (iii) does not violate any applicable laws.

In the event that you breach any of your representations, warranties or undertakings contained herein Sponsor and Organizer shall be entitled to and may seek indemnification from you for recovery of all legal fees, damages, claims and other expenses that may be incurred by Sponsor or its affiliated entities as a result of your aforementioned breach. 

Your contribution to the Contest should not include any content whatsoever which would reasonably be understood to be defamatory, threatening, distasteful, racist, unlawful or otherwise objectionable.  
Sponsor and Organizer reserve the right to alter or modify your contribution to the Contest without notification or consent from you.  
Contest winners will be selected  on the 1st of every month for the duration of the contest.

Sponsor and Organizer reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time and at its sole discretion.  Entrants agree to grant to Sponsor and Organizer an everlasting, royalty-free, assignable, exclusive license to use, utilize, replicate, alter, adapt, modify, publish, broadcast, translate, produce derivative works from, distribute, present, play, sublicense and exercise all copyright and other intellectual property rights with respect to your contribution worldwide and/or to include your contribution in other works in any media now known or later created forever. Each entrant agrees and grants Sponsor and Organizer permission to make available and display/perform and otherwise distribute entrant's name and Video submission in all media in perpetuity without compensation.

Except where legally prohibited, submission of an entry into this Contest constitutes permission for Sponsor and Organizer to use the entrant's name, videograph, likeness, voice, address (city and province/state) and testimonials, in printed, broadcast media or new media, in perpetuity, in any manner they deem appropriate in connection with promoting the Video submission itself or this Contest, without further compensation in connection with this  Contest or the prize awarded. 

Each entrant agrees to indemnify Sponsor from any third party claims arising from or related to that entrant's participation in the Contest. By participating, entrants agree that Sponsor, Organizer involved in the development, production, implementation and distribution of this promotion and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, service providers, and agencies, and their directors, officers, agents, employees, attorneys, and any other person or entity associated with such entities and/or promotion shall not be liable for any and all claims, damages, losses or injuries, including any third party claims, arising from or relating to, in whole or in part, this Contest, including entry and participation in this Contest and acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prizes. All entrants further agree that in the event  of any third party claims, damages, losses or injuries, arising from or relating to this Contest, they will indemnify Organizer and Sponsor from any and all such claims, including the attorneys' fees related thereto. Organizer and Sponsor shall not be responsible for any technical malfunctions of the telephone network, computer on- line system, computer equipment, software, program malfunctions or other failures, delayed computer transactions or network connections that are human, mechanical or technical in nature, or any combination thereof, including any injury. 

Entrants participating in this Contest are liable for any copyright infringements caused by their Videos.

Entrant is responsible to secure permission from all talent included in the Video. Sponsor and Organizer assume no responsibility for royalties or fees associated with talent performances in the entered Videos.

Sponsor and Organizer assume no responsibility for lost or late entries or for incomplete computer transmissions or technical failures. 

Sponsor and Organizer reserve the right not to accept entries that are considered inappropriate for the Contest.   

The provincial liquor agencies are not connected with this contest in any manner whatsoever, and are not liable in any way whatsoever in regard to any matter which relates to this contest. 

Prize winners (and companions where applicable) must sign a Declaration of Compliance with the contest rules and regulations.

Notification

• The winners will be contacted at the e-mail provided during registration.

• The winners and title of their entry will be announced on the Web site.

•  The winning Videos will be featured on the contest website. 

• Prizes will be delivered shortly after the winning Videos are announced.  
 
 

IDENTIFICATION OF POTENTIAL WINNER.  Okanagan Spring Breweries will notify the winner by email, as provided on the entry form.  Okanagan Spring Breweries is not responsible for lost, stolen, late, or misdirected e-mail.  If unable to make contact with the winner within ten (10) days after Okanagan Spring Breweries’ first attempts to notify the winner, or if the winner fails to claim the prize in accordance with these Official Rules, Okanagan Spring Breweries will award the prize to the alternate winner.  The winner must claim the prize by signing and returning the Declaration of Compliance form provided by Okanagan Spring Breweries, no later than fifteen (15) day after the winner is selected.  In addition, the winner will cooperate with Okanagan Spring Breweries to get all necessary releases in place for the videos submitted to Okanagan Spring Breweries.

Video Creation Requirements   

•  Acceptable source Video includes sources that are not copyrighted. Contestant takes responsibility that all images and soundtracks are not copyrighted material. This means, do NOT use commercial copyrighted music or images. 

•  Videos may not contain obscene language or content, including but not limited to: nudity, profanity, or graphic violence.

Videos must be submitted via the web as instructed after registration. If you have problems uploading, please contact us at submissions@memelabs.com. If you are having problems uploading, you must contact us before the contest has expired.

Acceptable video formats are: asf, .wmv, .mov, .avi, .mpg, .mp4
